Glad to know that. Also in your writing, could you please limit unnecessary interactions between unrelated male and female characters because unnecessary interactions with the opposite gender is not allowed.
Thank you for your comment. I will need to do more research on the scholarly opinions regarding this matter. As with many things, I imagine that there is a spectrum of opinions on this. What is clear, though, is that men and women should lower their gaze and keep their interactions respectful. Beyond that, I've observed this being handled differently, even among religious circles and Islamic organizations. Some organizations have separate wings for brothers and sisters, whereas others perform their activities together, but still ensuring that an unrelated man and a woman are not alone together.
I want to add that I really do appreciate your comment. I do want to make sure my stories are promoting an Islamic environment. Exactly what that looks like will vary based on who you ask. Based on your feedback, I will likely adjust the interactions in my story. I added some text in the beginning of Chapter 1 Scene 1 to add some clarity.
I appreciate that you considered my feedback. However, segregation has always been practiced for at least 1300 years from when the order of Hijab was revealed. The practice of Hijab necessitates the practice of segregation. That order hasn’t been abrogated, but in the last hundred years mixed gatherings have appeared, probably due to colonialism and westernization. Segregation is needed for a true Islamic environment.
Glad to know that.
